Practitioners can become emotionally exhausted when working with clients who have experienced traumatic events. If not recognized and managed properly, this secondary trauma can result in reduced job satisfaction and overall decrease in quality of life. It can also impact practitioners’ families, colleagues, and clients.
In this webinar, you will learn how to recognize secondary trauma and receive tools to manage it.
Presenter Naketta Lowery, CFLE, will discuss the impact of secondary trauma on those in the helping professions. Specifically, she will explain what trauma, fatigue, or burnout might look like for someone who works with families. She will also teach you how to build your own Personal Resilience Plan (PRP) to handle the effects of secondary trauma.
Approved for 1.5 CFLE contact hour of continuing education credit.
