The first part of the webinar will define family engagement and the significance of long-term engagement on outcomes in early childhood professions. The second section will focus on the critical partnership between supervisor and early childhood professionals when working with families. A discussion will then be held of a nationally recognized set of family support competencies which illustrate in detail the scope of expertise and proficiency in skills required of home visitors for working with families to achieve outcomes. Additionally, there will be a brief exploration of the shifts in practice and required skills that COVID-19 has introduced. Rapid response resources will then be shared to those providing direct services to families with young children.
